I've always wondered this

A bird just flew straight into one of my bedroom windows. Why do birds do this? I'd love a logical, scientific answer to this question. And if not that, then at least one that is clever.

Criminal Procedure is RANDOM

It's some of the most random stuff EVER. I keep looking at it, reading it, and it's just this weird sort of made-up thing. Over half, I think, is bullshit that someone just sort of pulled out of the sky. I mean, I like criminal procedure. I think that we should have it and stuff. But seriously, at some points, it seems like they use rules/tricks to gloss over some of the nastier aspects of the stuff. For instance, if you are being interrogated by the police, and you want your attorney, and you say, "I think I want an attorney," they don't have to get one for you. You have to say, instead, "I want my attorney." That is ridiculous and semantical. How is someone supposed to know to do that?
